When we started ImmerseMe, the idea was pretty simple: what if language learning felt real?

And now, after 10 years of learning, building, experimenting, and listening to our incredible community of educators and learners, we’ve taken our biggest leap forward yet.

A completely new learning experience - We’ve redesigned ImmerseMe from the ground up with a sleek new interface, clearer user flows, modern accessibility principles, and an experience optimized across web, tablet, mobile, and VR.
Next-generation speech recognition - This is a huge one! Our upgraded system analyzes responses at the word level and provides immediate diagnostic feedback, helping learners see exactly where they can improve and immediately try again.
More ways to learn - Speak, Match, Fill, Type, Spell, Translate, and Chat give learners different ways to build comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation, writing, and conversational skills from the same authentic content.
Gamification with purpose - XP, weekly streaks, milestone progression, social features, and intelligent XP boosts make learning more motivating while rewarding accuracy, proficiency, longer responses, and consistent practice.
Introducing ImmerseMe Live - One of my personal favorites! Teachers can set a live class target for XP, words, new words, responses, or lessons completed, then watch the whole class work toward it in real time. It turns individual practice into an energetic, shared classroom challenge.
Powerful learning analytics - New dashboards help learners and educators understand progress across Effort, Growth, and Fluency, from time spent and words recorded to new vocabulary, accuracy, prosody, and fluency.
More tools for educators - The ImmerseMe Award encourages year-long engagement, while upgraded task setting, grading, feedback, and deeper LMS integrations make ImmerseMe easier to embed into teaching and learning.
